Modern crochet patterns and techniques
NOTE: this pattern is also available as a part of a bundle for Labyrinth Blanket.
All Spring Flowers pattern is a sample of several joining elements (squares, side triangle, corner triangles and border) which can be either used for a Labyrinth Blanket or will make a gorgeous blanket themselves.
LEVEL: Intermediate (overlay crochet, front post stitches, working in front and back loops – everything is explained in the pattern)
YARN: Leftovers of Sport/DK yarn in any solid colors. Please, note that the pattern does not give exact yarn amounts, because you can make as many elements as you wish, and thus will use a different amount of yarn. It is suggested that you use up scraps of different colors from your stash.
For a square sample shown in the picture, Scheepjes Stone Washed yarn in several colors was used, including Moonstone (white) for the background. The finished square with the border is approx. 63 cm/24 ¾ in and would make a nice large cushion.
SIZE: joining elements from this pattern can be used for a blanket in any size. The pattern also includes a tutorial and complete color key for a baby blanket (created by Laura Jackson). You can see it among the pictures for this listing. All Spring Flower baby blanket is approx. 89 x 144 cm/ 35 x 56 ½ in after blocking.
For this baby blanket you will need one Scheepjes Stone Washed/River Washed mini colour pack and 12 x 50g balls of Stone Washed or River Washed yarn in one solid color for background. Laura used Crystal Quartz for her blanket.
MATERIALS: crochet hook in size needed to obtain correct gauge with your chosen yarn, scissors, blocking tools, yarn needle to weave in ends
The pattern is available from shop.lillabjorncrochet.com website. It comes in English with standard US crochet terms. You will receive two copies of the pattern. One is full of progress pictures, and another one is for print with text only.
